to Beautiful Zion Church
We are a Church that loves God’s word and His people. God has blessed us
to begin this work because we have a heart and a passion for God’s
people. We believe that too many of His people are having to struggle in
this life and should be able to find relief, joy, peace and victory over
any negative situation in their lives. We believe God wants us to have
the fullness of joy and abundant life here on earth as well as in
heaven. That’s why we speak, teach and preach the word of God to our
situation and into our lives to combat the enemy here on earth.
It’s not only our desire for you to be victorious here on earth, it’s
our ultimate goal to see you standing before the Lord and hear him say
to you, “Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant.”
Our teachings are based upon the great fundamentals of the Christian
faith, all of which center in the person of Jesus Christ, our crucified,
risen, and glorified Lord and Savior.

About
Pastor McDowell
Pastor Rodney B. McDowell was born in 1962 and reared in Atlanta, Ga.
where he and his family attended The Move God Church under Pastor Edward
Harris. After graduating from H.M. Turner High School in 1980 he
enlisted into the U.S. Air Force. In 1987 while performing recruiting
duty in San Jose, Ca. he received his salvation at Living Waters Church
under Pastor James E. Edwards. This is where he met his lovely wife
Lamanaca Moultrie and acknowledged his calling into the Gospel Ministry.
A few years later he was stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base,
Wyoming, and in 1993 at age 30 he received his first Pastoral
appointment from the Church Of God In Christ, Inc. General Board Member
Bishop H. Jenkins Bell and installed by Bishop C.A. Nubine in 1994 as
Pastor of Abundant Life Church in Casper, WY. which was subsequently
renamed Beautiful Zion.
 In 1997 he was stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona. where
he allowed God to use him while under Supt. Dr. Clee McCaa. Pastor
McDowell started the East Side Church in Tucson, Arizona. He retired for
the U.S. Air Force in 2000 and moved back to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Pastor
McDowell attended and completed the Barclay Collage Advantage Program in
Denver, CO. for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from 2001–2003.
Pastor McDowell accepted his Pastoral appointment again to the Beautiful
Zion Church with encouragement of Bishop C.A. Nubine in June of 2003.
He has served both the church and community in various positions:
National Adjutant, Wyoming Jurisdictional; Chief Adjutant, Treasurer,
Music President and Evangelist President, Board Member/Trustee for;
Laramie County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and the Air
Force Sergeant’s Association (AFSA) as well as North Dakota Jurisdiction
